A book wouldn’t be complete without its cover. In fact, a book without a cover is a naked book, and we all know about being naked in public…
Think back to some of your favorite books. Now, I bet you remember two things: first, the title and author (at least I hope so) and second, the cover. I'd even take a guess that you remember the cover better than the blurb on the back. People always say “never judge a book by its cover”, and while that is all fine and dandy, it is also a lie. If you look at a book and it has a crappy cover chances are (unless you have a personal recommendation) you’re going to put that book down and move on. See, a cover is very important!
Now that my little rant is over, I want to share some love to those amazing individuals that clothed my books in awesomeness. Because without these artists below, my books would just be hanging out there—naked!

Johnathan is an illustrator and concept artist based out of Malaysia. I ran into him when I was looking on DeviantArt (how I find most of these talented artists) after my last artist quit. Johnathan's work looked awesome and after contacting him I realized the price was perfect and we started talking. He did such a phenomenal job on Bad Company, that I had him redo Outbreak as well as finish off my series with Last Hope!
He is now part of a passionate duo of digital artists based out of Kuala Lumpur who provide a variety of high-end creative services to the entertainment industry worldwide. If you're looking for some badass art at a reasonable price, I cannot recommend him enough!
Johnathan has done three books in my Brother's Creed series and he'll be returning for more covers in the future!
Stefan Celic is a concept artist with immense skill and an eye for art. I lost contact with my last cover artist and last minute had to start looking for another. I was tossing around a few ideas with Stefan and in the end he won me over with his artwork! From start to finish we stayed in contact through every step and he kept me updated on the process.
Anyone who knows me knows I’m very particular about certain things and the brothers and their gear were a couple of those things. But Stefan showed amazing patience as we reworked the brothers’ gear a few times, he was always willing to make those changes. In the end, his expertise paid off when I gave him free reign of the pose, background, and other details. The best part was the whole process only took a few days and, as you can see, the end result is awesome!
Sadly, you will not see any of Stefan's art on my future works.
Biram Ba is the talented artist who brought to life an image I’ve had in my head for years! Ever since I started writing Outbreak, and even before that, I’ve had this image in my head of two brothers back-to-back fighting off a horde of zombies.
Biram was one of the dozen or so artists I contacted on DeviantArt for a quote. Most were above my pay grade, but Biram was very reasonable. Once we agreed on a price and started working together I knew right away I’d made the right choice. Not only is he a great artist, but he worked with me every step of the way as I told him exactly what I wanted. As you can see from the final product, he not only captured what I wanted exactly but did an amazing job!
You may see Biram's art again on my books in the future!
